General Information:

Fawcett Family Aquatic Center is an outdoor facility with waterslides, water play features, sand volleyball, sand play area, shade funbrellas, lounge chairs, lap swimming area, diving board, and full service concessions.

Swim Hours and Dates:
Normal pool hours:
11:20 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. - Adult Lap Swim
1 - 7:30 p.m. - Open Swim
Dates of operation coincide with Summer Break for Nevada Schools.

Rates and Fees:

• Family Season Pass: $150.00 + tax
  Pass is good for one season for up to 5 family members living in the same household. Additional family members are $10.00 plus tax each.  Pass is not good for special events outside regular pool hours.  Total pass cost including sales tax for a family of 5 or less is $160.50.
• Individual Season Pass: $75.00 + tax
  Pass is good for one season. Pass is not good for special events outside regular pool hours.  Total pass cost including sales tax is $80.25.
• General Admission: $4.00/person**
  All patrons must pay to enter the pool facility regardless of their intent to swim or not. General Admission includes use of all pool facilities.  Tax is included in the cost of admission.
• Adult Lap Swim: $2.00/person**
  Lap swim is for adults 18 and over. Adults may use the lap lanes of the swimming pool only.  Tax is included in the cost of admission.
• Senior Citizen Admission: $3.50/person**
  All individuals over the age of 55 receive a complimentary $.50 discount off the regular general admission price.  Tax is included in the cost of admission.
• Children 1 and under: FREE
  All children 1 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.
• Pool Parties $200.00**
  Pool parties can be scheduled during evenings throughout the summer. Please call for available dates and times.
• Punch Pass: $40.00/card**
  Buy 10 punches. Punch cards are available at Fawcett Family Aquatic Center.  Tax is included in the cost of the punch pass.
• Group Rate: $3.50/person**
  Groups of 20 or more calling ahead of time can receive a group rate of $3.50/person.  Tax is included in the cost of admission.

Swimming Lessons

The American Red Cross has implemented many changes to the Swim Lesson Program.

• Parent and Child Aquatics (6 months-3 years)
• Pre School Aquatics (4 and 5 year olds)
• Learn to Swim (6 years +)

Little Tykes Swim

Come enjoy Fawcett Family Aquatic Center with your little one. This special event is for children 6 years of age and younger accompanied by a parent/guardian. Cost is $2.00/person.

Dates: Saturday’s, June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24, Aug. 7 and Aug. 21.

Time: 10:30 - Noon

Evening Pool Rental

Schedule your pool party now! Rent the pool for family reunions, corporate gatherings, birthday parties, etc. Pool parties can be scheduled for 1.5 hours at a rate of $200.00**. Call 382-4352 for available times and to reserve your date. Reservations may be made beginning in February of each year. All rentals must be made at least one (1) week prior to the rental date. See rental agreement for all necessary information.

Birthday Party Bash

Have your child’s birthday party at Fawcett Family Aquatic Center. For $45.00, your child can invite up to 12 friends have use of the birthday funbrella, and we will provide tables, and chairs along with announcing Happy Birthday over the loud speaker.  Additional guests are $3.50/person.  At the $45.00 rate parties are welcome to bring in their own cake, cookies, or cupcakes and drinks for guests to enjoy. 

Birthday Party Blowout

Get everything with the Birthday Party Bash but we provide your guests with a Walking Taco or Hotdog and a drink for up to 12 guests all for $75.00.  Additional meals can be purchased for $3.50/person. 

A Parent/Guardian must have the birthday party form filled out at least one week in advance of reservation. Payment is due in full upon reservation. Birthday party hours are from 1 - 3 p.m. or 5 - 7 p.m. everyday.  Call 382-4352 to reserve your date today. All reservations must be made at the Nevada Parks and Recreation office located at Gates Hall.

Aquacise

Come join our Water Exercise program. Participants in this class will use aquajoggers, water weights, and kickboards. This class is for people of all ages and swimming abilities. Registration forms are available at Gates Memorial Hall. Fee is $42.80.  Participation is limited to 25 participants/class. No t-shirts will be allowed in the pool during Aquacise.

• Class 1: Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. June 7 – Aug. 11
• Class 2: Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 12 - 12:45 p.m. June 8 – Aug. 12

Private Swim Lessons

Private swim lessons are available through lifeguards employed at Fawcett Family Aquatic Center. Nevada Parks and Recreation will provide individuals interested in private swim lessons a list of potential instructors. It is the responsibility of the parent to contact the instructor of their choice to teach private swimming lessons. The Nevada Parks and Recreation Department has a $2.00/person facility use fee (for all individuals taking private lessons during the 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.time slot). This fee covers costs associated with use of the facility during non public swim hours. Please remember that participants must pay the facility use fee along with the fee established by the instructor. Lessons are based on ½ hour sessions averaging $7.00/half hour. There must be a 1-1 instructor/child ratio. Lessons will be allowed during the following times:

• 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Rules and Regulations

1. No pushing, fighting, dunking or other horseplay is allowed in or around the pool facility.
2. No diving in the shallow end of the swimming pool and in other areas where it is marked "NO DIVING".
3. No running on the deck.
4. All patrons must wear regulation swimwear. No t-shirts, jean shorts, or cutoffs are allowed into the pool.
5. A soap shower is required before entering the pool.
6. No glass objects will be allowed in or around the pool facility.
7. A responsible individual 16 years of age or older must supervise children under the age of seven (7) at all times.
8. Patrons under the age of 17 must demonstrate the ability to earn their deep-water pass. The deep-water pass allows patrons entrance to the lap lanes, diving well, and waterslide areas.
9. Waterslide users must be 48" tall or have their deep-water pass before using the waterslides.
10. Rest periods will begin 10 minutes before the hour and end on the hour.
11. No flotation devices are allowed in lap lanes, diving well, or waterslide areas.
12. Water wings and life jackets are the only acceptable flotation devices allowed. (No inner tubes or noodles are allowed)
13. All play toys are subject to the approval of management.
14. Children may not go into lap lanes or diving well even when accompanied by an adult unless they have their deep-water pass.
15. No smoking is allowed inside the pool facility.
16. Children that are not toilet trained must wear a "swim" diaper.
17. Persons with open sores will not be allowed to swim.
18. No backwards jumps, dives, or flips are allowed from the edge of the pool.
19. The City of Nevada is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
