Ryan Porath joined the City of Nevada staff in February 2009 as Water Department Superintendent. Mr. Porath currently holds a Grade IV Water Treatment, Grade III Water Distribution and Grade II Wastewater License with the State of Iowa. Ryan also has a Grade III Water Treatment License with the Association of Boards of Certifications. His background includes positions as: Public Works Director City of Janesville, Iowa, Public Works Director City of Reinbeck, IA, and Shift Operator in Charge at the McMillan Water Treatment Plant in Washington, DC.
Shawn Ludwig joined the City of Nevada staff in August 2003 as an operator. Mr. Ludwig holds a Grade II Water Treatment and Grade II Water Distribution license with the State of Iowa. Shawn was acting as Interim Superintendent from January 2007 to February 2009. He came to the city after working for 16 years as a crew foreman for Ames Trenching installing water and sewer mains.
